There was no blogpost yesterday because at about the time I would have been writing it I was instead summoning an ambulance for the OH, which was duly whisked off to A & E, leaving me to a night time of worry and a very cold and early start to pick him up this morning. This was as nothing of course to the OH's predicament, because after all, he was the one who was ill, and in a lot of pain. He's still in pain but he was told to take painkillers and that he would be better in 2/3 days. If he's not showing any improvement in the morning then we will be bothering the doctor because I'm not at all happy that just painkillers are going to hack this. However, back to advents
Here are yesterdays
the Yarn Artist skein I show them wrapped and unwrapped because the wrapping has a different little sticker on each day
and the two skeins from the previous days knitted up
I also made some scented decorations for the tree. I've done this before and they are quite successful. You take the reeds from spent reed diffusers and keep them somewhere dark and enclosed so they don't lose their scent and then you bundle them together and tie them up with ribbon. Simples, as the meerkat says. And they retain their scent from year to year too.
Today's advents
Candle (Amber and Sandalwood) and Jam (Strawberry and - um- strawberry, I think the second one is supposed to be a wild strawberry)
And the knitted up stripe, now 3 squares long
And now I'm off to snuggle up in front of the fire and add day 4. I don't know how it is where you are, but here in Orkney it's very very cold.
I hope OH recovers well and quickly, but I agree - see the GP too *hugs*
